My recent trip to Curacao for a 7-day vacation proved to be much more than I thought it would be: It was one of those vacations where you go not knowing what to expect, but prepared to enjoy none the less only to have it surpass your expectations! This in part, was due to the 4 star hotel we stayed - The  Renaissance. Nestled in the heart of historic Willemstad, Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino delivers everything you need for a spectacular getaway. For me, The Infinity pool was one of the main highlights with its spectacular beach-to- ocean illusion.  The cruise ships port is just "next door" to the hotel and this adds to the exciting feel of the surroundings. This hotel lives up to it's 4 star rating in every way! 

Entertainment in and around the hotel was constant so there was no shortage of something to do!

Curacao is one of 3 sister islands (Aruba and Bonaire) and is located in the southwestern Caribbean Sea, just about 40 miles away from the Venezuelan coast. A country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands so the primary language is Dutch, however most Curacoans speak at least 4 languages. I found the people we encountered to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff was exceptional and the overall service was  incomparable. From the doormen to the cleaners to the front desk staff, great customer service was obviously a priority.  

Needless to say, I will definitely be returning and the Renaissance will be my choice resort!
